After recently updating my enlightenment (e17), I no longer have any
icon in the upper left corner of any windows.
Go through all the directories under ~/.e/e/applications, and delete
all .eap.cache.cfg files.
This did the trick. Simply wiping the cache.cfg's and then I logged out
and back in and all was well. Probably could've done a e-restart also.
These last few versions have been great. Solid and fast.
Many Thanks to All!
E17 now caches some of the eap details, this cache may be out of date
or just plain wrong after an update. Considering that e17 has not even
hit alpha yet, such things are to be expected. The caching of eaps is
largely my fault, I kept whining about the slowness of e17 dealing with
my thousands of eaps until raster did something about it. So now I
take responsibility for suggesting cache cleaning when I think it will
help.
There is a utility to recreate the caches, but I haven't tried it yet,
I just clean the caches and let e rebuild them as needed.
Of course, this may not be your problem, but it would be the first
thing I would try.
