Yes I have.  There are some very good instructions on a site whose owner
is a Mandriva faithful user.

Start with the topic E17 dependencies.  If you have urpmi set up
correctly, then just type that all in one line.  Just follow the
directions on get-e.org's user guide section 2.1.  Or you can download
raster's get_e.sh script or the modified version (someone might have a
link) and you'll be able to compile it manually.  Basically the
important part is to compile, go in build order then type ./autogen.sh
&& make && make install.  I'd recommend compiling e_utils and e_modules
too.
