Hi,
I've tried almost every day for a month to compile and install Engage.
I run the Arch Linux system so I'm using prefixes approriate to Arch.
My compile has worked in the past so I don't think it's that. The
output below is very long and I apologise for that but I can't resolve
this on my own.

the problem was:
THE NASTY NVIDIA DRIVER :-p
compile against nvidia drivers GL libs make that
error, i uninstall nvidia driver and compile all
again and now all work fine
the nvidia driver has a bad uninstaller it delete
the original libGL.so and didnt make a copy so i
install the xorg-server again to fix that :)
all work fine now
