You're right, im sorry, its e16.7.2 installed on a gentoo system with amd1800+ and 2.6.13kernel (its not specific to the kernel, had the problem with 2.4kernels too). I've setup linux several times on this box (hd had errors, new processor, etc), everytime with e16 (since 16.6 i think...) and i had this problem everytime (with the difference that i didn't know how to solve this, i think i posted this once to this list, too (probably from [EMAIL PROTECTED]) ). As i said before, its not a big concern but imo its quite strange...
If you need additional info, just ask!

With kind regards
Nikolas

Hallo Everybody!

I have a strange problem with enlightenment: whenever i set a bg which hasn't the executable-bit (chmod +x) it can't be remembered by e and all that remains when i restart e is a black bg. To restore the bg i have to rename the file, regenerate all menus and apply the bg again. Its not a big concern (if you know it) but it seems kinda... strange? to me.

Assuming this is e16 (please specify version and OS info btw.) - That sounds most peculiar. e16 normally is happy with the image file if just it has read permission.
