I use e on my powerbook running OS X, via XDarwin, it works fine.
The pseudo-transparency isn't so great though, so window decorations
like rounded corners come out with black edges. Eterm transparency
works though. The only truly annoying thing about using E on a
powerbook is the fact that there's just one button (if you don't have
a mouse with you). For that reason I use icewm with XDarwin to make
my life easier. I see no reason to install linux on a powerbook but
I guess that's just a matter of personal preference :)
