I have a pretty wacky question for the group... I've got two eap files,
one for azureus, and one for amarok. If I start up a vncserver on
display :1 using my normal enlightenment configuration, same user, etc,
I can see both .eap files in my menu and bar and I can start them both
and they work fine (aside from their windows being initially lost on
startup).

However, on my normal xorg X server display :0, the amarok eap refuses
to be displayed by ibar or the menu, and the azureus eap displays but
whenever I try to start it I get "failed to start the program azureus -
the application failed to start" from e17. I also cannot start either
program from e17's run command in display :0, but i can start them from
the run command in display :1. If I bring up the apps I get the proper
icon matched in either display. The only differences between the two
displays are that one is xorg-x11-6.9 with binary Nvidia drivers +
xcompmgr (this doesn't make a difference though) and the other is VNC.

What can I check to see what's happening here?

Random quote of the last-time-I-ran-bash:
One uses power by grasping it lightly. To grasp with too much force is to be
taken over by power, thus becoming its victim.
