Hi all,

I'm an ex-Slackware, currently unhappy ``Debian user
that can't get an Enlightenment bug fixed''. I just
subscribed to Enlightenment-devel/users. Whilst doing
so, I found the following page has a broken link:

    https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/subscribe/enlightenment-users.

Here is the link that gives me the "Not Found" message:

    https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo.

There is one and only one WM for Linux/X11 that has
kept me as a happy user: Enlightenment. I've been
a Linux user since v1.2.3 or some such. Once I found
Enlightenment, I've judged all distro's by two features:
state of which Kernel was available, state of enlightenment.

If either of these is missing (or too old to be seriously
considered), I won't use that distro. Debian seems to
be on the ``too old to be of much use'' list.

Hopefully I can help out here. I'm certainly not the
fastest person in the world, but I seem to manage.

I can write code (currently attempting a very simple
filesystem driver under FUSE), I can write stories
(currently unpublished, so maybe not the best stories?),
and I've used Linux for many years, most under Slackware.

Any suggestions about where I *might* be able to fit in
will be appreciated, as I'd like to help and/or be part
of the Enlightenment team. My first task is to get rid
of a couple Debianisms on a permanent basis (I'm looking
for a new distro). I suspect that just re-compiling
any version of E outside of the Debian code will do the
trick, so that's first on my list. After that, I'd like
to at least be loosely affiliated with Enlightenment.

Thanks for the many years I've had as a Enlightenment user.
