I'm running 16.8.2 on FreeBSD 6.2 having installed from the FreeBSD "ports"
system.
I was previously running a version prior to 16.8.2 which I compiled myself
on FreeBSD 4.11 (I'm afraid I've blown away the exact setup at this point).
At any rate, on my previous install, I could left click on the desktop
to bring up "user menus" and (still holding the left button down) slide
over "User application list" to bring up the application menu with
"xterm", "firefox" etc in it.
I could then position the cursor over the application I wanted to run,
and release the left button, which would launch the application and
unpost the menu.
I find that with 16.8.2, when I release the left button, nothing happens,
and I have to click it again to launch the app and unpost the menu.
I'm sure restoring the old behavior is a simple setting somewhere, but
I have been unable as yet to find it..
It's not a big thing, but somewhat annoying.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ted Nolan
