Consult the section "Installing Using CVS" of the E17 User Guide in
the Enlightenment Wiki to make sure you have the necessary
dependencies installed, and to know about the build and installation
order of the core Enlightenment Foundation Libraries (EFL) on which
the Enlightenment desktop shell itself depends. Then, check the
section "Installing using development snapshots" of the same guide to
know how to perform the build and installation.

Since Enlightenment and the EFL are in constant development, be aware
of that development snapshots linger behind the current status of the
project. This means that you may not be able to build any modules,
other than those provided in the snapshot, or applications that depend
on the EFL from the CVS because of differences in the API. The
alternative is, of course, to use CVS to acquire and install and to
stay up-to-date with the software.

Good luck.
