Hi,

I have nearly the same experience.

But... I compile e on system A. Then, send it on system B.

No problem with X memory consumption on system A...

Huge amount of memory on system B

This is the same compile which runs over both systems.

System A is :
Dell x1, 1.3GB RAM i810, 16.999.43
Debian unstable

System B is :
Dell gx520 1GB RAM ,(intel graphic chipset too) , 16.999.43
Debian unstable

I have a system C... but not the same compilation, not having the issue with
some graphic card (mostly radeon) but 16.999.53

I will have a new case tonight, with compilation on a dell optiplex 740,
nvidia chips with propretary driver, fresh lenny install and fresh 16.999.60
svn... (but 4gb DDR... and a dual core). It in replacement of my office
computer system B, I hope it will be less painful :).

System D :
OpenMoko FreeRunner. (16.999.50+svn40284)
om2009, SHR, no pb...

I was guessing it was a X issue... which is strange at the moment in
unstable branch in debian.
