hi all,
I've recently upgraded my slack system. until now I've always used
static devices in /dev (no udev, no hal), but this time I've decided to
install all was needed to automagically handle usb devices :)
I've also installed the places module, but it doesn't mount the usb
stick when I plug it in, though I told it in its config to do it
automatically.
I tried running e_dbus_hal in a terminal and looks like it correctly see
the insert, as this is what it outputs on usb stick insertion:
Device added: /org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_133c_a099_000100000000
Device added:
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_133c_a099_000100000000_if0
Device added:
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_133c_a099_000100000000_if0_scsi_host
Device added:
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_133c_a099_000100000000_if0_scsi_host_0
Device added:
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_133c_a099_000100000000_if0_scsi_host_0_scsi_device_lun0
Device added:
/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_133c_a099_000100000000_if0_scsi_host_0_scsi_device_lun0_scsi_generic
of course I'm still able to mount my pen-drive by hand.
any hint?
