Listmates,
After my run-through of e16, there are a couple of things that would be
helpful for me to be able to do. One of those is to have some way to
manipulate the iconbox with the keyboard. Currently I have set ALT+UP to
"iconify" which makes it super-easy to put icons in the iconbox, but, I have
no way to get them back out without grabbing the mouse.
I have been through the keyedit actions and I have been through most of
the
config files in /usr/share/e16 and ~/.e16, but have been unable to find
something that would let me "uniconify" something.
I guess I could set a shortcut to the windows menu and do it that way,
but
another way that seems logical would be to
focus the iconbox
raise it to the top layer
provide up/down or left/right arrow-key navigation
uniconify/restore the application when the enter key is pressed
Being new to e16, I don't know if that capability exists, so I thought
I
would post the question and see. Also, if you have a better work-around,
please let me know.
Next, there are a couple of things in e16 that I really like that I
can't
find in e17 yet. In e17 you have ibar and itask which work fine, but I really
like the iconbox and individual pagers in e16. I have set the iconbox with a
pager border and have it shade and add from the top-down and I anchor it to
the top edge of my screen. The actual pagers go bottom-left:
(~100k)

Is there a way I can configure the pager and itask like this in e17?
Any help on the uniconify or e17 setup issues will be greatly
appreciated. I
cannot tell you how impressed I am with this desktop. It has literally taken
over my desktop ;-)
