1. yes. know of mpx and xi2 2. mpx != multitouch. as such i think its a pretty limited use feature myself - 2 CORE POINTERS on 1 display. yes - i know the arguments for it "2 peole sharing 1 display with 2 kbds and 2 mice". i dont see this as useful/important/worth any effort at thsi stage. 3. multitouch is another matter entirely to mpx. do not mix them. e already is strong for devices.. because it has something like elementary that can scale to screen res AND scale to input device (eg fingers vs mice) very simply and easily, ad not to mention it actually can be customised as vendors want pretty easily. there is no multitouch support because i have yet to have a multitouch input device. the day i have one and the support is then needed... it will go in. but - i dont even have the input events to write the support for letalone a device to test it on. even then any support will be "auxiliary" - i.e. youwill have a single finger touch point 99% of the time and then possible extra auxiliary touches (2nd and 3rd etc. touches) and these may be supported selectively for specific actions and events. maybe. when i get something that can provide such events. -- ------------- Codito, ergo sum - "I code, therefore I am" -------------- The Rasterman (Carsten Haitzler) [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
