I use composite module. In Composite Settings I choose : Effects: Shadows, Smooth scaling Sync: Sync screen, Sync windows, Loose sync Engine: OpenGL Memory: Send flush, Keep hidden windows, Maximum hidden pixels 32M Timeouts: Min hidden 5 Minutes, Max hidden 10 Hours
I can use fglrx driver in E17, but can not use open source driver in E17.
