It worked like a dream--also fixed some broken bits that had been annoying
me for a while (tclock is small, but without it, I'm lost!).

For the record, I did a quick remove of the following dirs:
./e17_src (as installed by easy_e17.sh.  I had already tried removing this
before with no success, however)
/opt/e17/
and just to be sure, I also cleared out the source cache  created by easy_e:
/tmp/easy_e17/src_cache

And, again, it all works splendidly now--I love it!  Thanks again,
