Using entry widget from elementary, new lines are creating unexpected character encodings. First noticed when viewing a file in vim that was created with entry. Ran 'od -c' on the file and it shows that the new lines from entry are producing the code triplet, 342 200 251. New lines created using vim or leafpad correctly show '\n'. I set the entry widget to save plain UTF8.
