Hi all. I run E17 on my PC @ work, and also have to run vncserver on it ( I have 1 day working from home ... yay! ), as our crappy VPN has incredibly high latency, and I can't just tunnel in and run X apps over the network. VNC's X server doesn't support the xcomposite extension. So when I start E17 with my usual profile in VNC server, I get a warning to this effect, and I have to set things up differently. What's the best way to handle this? I would be fine with, for example, setting up 2 different profile paths ( eg ~/.e and ~/.e_non_composited ) if there was a nice way to start E with the different profile path. Or is there a better way? Note that ideally I'd like to be able to have E running in both profiles concurrently. And yes, I want them both running for the same user.
