just disable "enable screen blanking" and screen will stay on with all your
content. :) you have a choice - screen stays on with content as-is, OR it turns
off after a timeout and you may choose the timeout. i see absolutely no use
(and total pain and confusion) in having separate blanking and pms settings
(where there were 2 timeouts for blanking one for blank and another for cycle,
and 3 dpms ones). it's just one now.

since e doesn't have any "screensaver" infra there is nothing else to do here.
blanking without dpms doesn't save any power - the screen stays on, just with
black. there are no plans to ever have any screensaver infra as screensavers
are on the out. they just consume electricity and generate heat when no one is
there.
