The text field and the buttons are > both controlled by the "widget" component. Well that figures... AND if I'd have had to find that out by guess based empirical testing, it would have taken me a long time to guess that text and/or buttons were "widgets"... Thanks for the bad news. Though it's not as bad as it could be. You see I multi-boot. *_And_so_far_* I have the non-viable text field problem only on OpenSuSE 12.2 using the new "factory" E17 repo that is supposed to be based on the "released" version of E17. (That's on my desktop PC with nvidia graphics) On my laptop, I've an OpenSuSE 12.2 using the "Nightly" e17 repo that has yet to manifest the problem using the same prominent "focus out color" themes. (Or at least the version of them that I used edje_convert on {Just before that utility disappeared from the repos} It doesn't matter on the desktop PC with the problem, whether I use the old edje_convert fixed theme, or a recently recompiled and put up on e17-stuff.org (by a nice guy named Duma) Vulcan-Retro theme, using the OpenSuSE 12.2 factory repo, I need to switch back to the default system theme to use those text fields. Yet on the same PC, running Bodhi (precise) the Vulcan themes have both good text fields AND the prominent "focus out color" I depend on... This both with the recompiled theme, that Duma did when Bodhi wasn't able to use the ones updated via edje_convert. AND ever since a recent edje update, the edje_converted ones too... *_So_far_*, NONE of the other Linux installed to either laptop or the desktop have such recent E17 versions in their repos... With any luck, when they do, perhaps they will be more like the Bodhi version...
