OK, thanks. But what I was wondering is, there IS a set to grid setting
where the desktop lines up the icons all in a pretty row. The only problem
I found was when setting this they lined up horizontally across the top
instead of vertically down the side. Maybe I'm confused about this but that
was my experience.

Anyway, one more question if you don't mind.
Whenever I click on the home icon on the desktop the file manager opens up
but it is blank. It has a nice pretty blue background but there is nothing
there. Same with the temp icon and the root. In fact anytime I open the e
file manager it is blank.  'Sup wid dat?      :-)
