My setup:
nVidia 6(20, maybe) using proprietary driver with OpenGl Settings Sync 
to VBlank and Allow Flipping both checked.
e composite settings: OpenGl, TrearFree updates and Texture from pixmap 
both checked.

Even with mouse acceleration turned all the way off, some "rubber band" 
effect is evident. I rather like the animated feel and I haven't found a 
setting to make it go away.

I know that's not very helpful, just wanted to say that I see it and 
like it.
