This problem seems to affect at least e17 as well to a degree i noticed it with virtual box the other day. Running yast2(openSUSE config tool) seems to work with xdg-su when launched from run everything (in main enlightenment menu) but not when launched for software manager from the main menu-> applications or installing virtual box addons or mounting a network drive.
I have opened a report on the openSUSE bug tracker https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=824565 feel free to add yourself as a cc or add more info If Tomas Cech has time and knows this area ok it may get fixed relatively soon, its not a area i'm really familiar with so it will probably take me a few weekends of research to look into it. Thanks for the report, if there's anything else let me know or if there's anyone else who can narrow down where i should look that would also be appreciated. I'll run a update of the repository now so you can have all the new fixes and breaks from the last week.
