Is it going to work at all? > > Thanks for any tips. e18 on we are compositing only. no choice to turn it off. many reasons for this, but suffice to say it's not a decidion that is being changed or reversed. it's partly to fix things that couldnt be fixed without always compositing, to provide a guarantee of compositing (so we can do things and not have to have ugly looking fallbacks like shaped windows), but most of all, so we can move to wayland. without making compositing core, this would be effectively a no-go. so basically if you use an x sevrer that doesn't support compositing (like nx - i dont know x2go), then you are basically in trouble. complain to your nx vendor that this doesn't work. :) > Regards, > > Rogier > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ > Slashdot TV. > Video for Nerds.
