Hi all, I am working on a project between SAMSUNG Open Source Group(OSG) with ced...@efl.so and OpenWide with pierre.lemagou...@openwide.fr. This project is aiming at giving a general documentation about EFL and enlightenment at enlightenment.org/docs in order to help to start with EFL and so, make grow the EFL community and users.
In fact, there is a big part in the convertion from tizen to EFL: https://developer.tizen.org/documentation/ As you can see, on enlightenment.org/docs , the project has already started, indeed the first part has been pushed and even already improved by developers but don't hesitate to send your remarks or your suggestions; you can also directly edit your improvements on the website. - The first part already pushed and improved on the website is about the way to install EFL on different distros : Ubuntu, Archlinux, Debian, ... - A second part on the way to debug EFL and Enlightenment, a merge has to be done between https://www.enlightenment.org/debugging/enlightenment_debugging, https://www.enlightenment.org/debugging/apps_efl_debugging and https://www.enlightenment.org/docs-efl-debug - A third part with tutorials : Basic, Genlist, Pane, Form, NAviframe, openGL, Setting, Effects, Multimedia. Tutorials are supposed to give detailed examples to start working with an ELF concept. - A fourth part with Programming Guides : Basic application structure, containers, widgets, event handling, evas, multi language support, effects, EDC, focus UI, data types, low level, EvasGL, Scalability, Widget customization, threading. In order to make easier and grow the use of EFL, please have a look at enlightenment.org/docs and return comments, remarks or direclty improve tutorials. The users and developpers returns will be very helpful to get an EFL documentation of high quality. The next parts of documentation will keep coming little by little until at least end of september. So please, check the website now and again. Another idea in this project is to make several videocast tutorials. The first one about how install enlightenment is already done and will be soon posted on youtube. I invite you to see it, comment it, etc to improve the following ones. And so I ask for you for suggestions about video tutorials too, if you have any ideas about a video tutorial, what could be an interesting, theme or topic, please send suggestions.
