make install should not check anything. it's about just installing files. no
checks. configure is for checks. and it really should not be there as you
SHOULD be able to compile on a system without dbus-launch. think of package
maintainers who use build system, chroot's, vm's that COMPILE packages. they
shouldnt in this case have to install dbus-launch and maybe suck in x11 library
dependencies they don't need (eg if building for wayland) and so on.

should really be on the wiki page there with the list of dependencies (pkgs) to
install. :)
