I'm using blueman-manager ( from the blueman package ), and it works for connecting to my headphones at least as well as my phone can talk to the same headphones. It also adds an icon to the systray module, but *only* works properly if I add it to 'Startup Applications'. If I start it manually, it pops up a dialog saying bluetooth is off ( which it is ), and I can enable it, but then blueman-manager closes the current window, and I need to kill it and restart it for the GUI to function. When it starts from 'Startup Applications', it activates bluetooth for me and works quite well ( throws a ton of python error messages, but that's par for the course with python ).
