you don't have an option. egl+gles is the only way. and yes. it's ok. catch:
nvidia closed drivers have some huge performance drop with egl+gles vs
glx/opengl (but that's pointless for wayland anyway). all the other drivers
work fine either in glx/opengl or egl/gles ... but the latter is the only
method that will work in both x11 and wayland.
