Your config was broken by a commit in early May. I sent out a post about
this if you look back through the archive. It broke key modifiers this
effectively breaking the way gadgets and gadget bars work.  I found the
commit in question and reverted the problem in question breaking
configurations, but if you had updated to the broken configuration, the
damage was done.  You will have to reset your config after updating to a
current E. You can do this by going to the settings panel and scratching
the config. I don't have the exact steps as I'm not in front of my computer
but it's something like settings panel -> config -> scratch. The actual
steps are detailed in my previous mail about it if you find it in the
archives.
