I don't meet this problem with xfce4-terminal where unlimited

i have no problems with scroll back. mouse wheel scrolls up.

scroll... i get 1000's of lines of scrollback.
I see issue comes from two things:
My mouse scrolls badly.
That's why i use Terminology miniview scroll but it can't reach first
lines, they are not displayed. I compared with xfce terminal: scroll bar
works normally.
Anyhow, it's miniview issue
sometimes some apps use a pager app (eg more or less) automatically
and then it
can happy you have no scrollback because the pager 9m,ore/less) is
doing that
not the terminal.

After replacing my mouse with a better one, i confirm it's miniview
scroll issue. I can scroll all lines with mouse, not with miniview
