Hi
I'm a Ubuntu newbie, coming from Windows.
I need a software for tethered shooting with mt Nikon D5000.
Found Entangle, and installed it.
Have spend many hours since, because it looked like
the LiveView-option was not working.
Did post in several forums, without success.
However, some people gave me outstanding help,
where they looked at the OS.
I so I did learn a lot about Ubuntu.
Bur nobody was able to solve my Entangle LiveView-problem.
I was lucky to decover the README-file in Entangle,
located at usr/share/doc/entangle/README.
There I found the keyboardshortcuts, and an explanation
of what they do.
The icons in the menu bar are corresponding, but I do use a translated
version (Dutch), do the p - toggle LiveView, which is translated by
(on mouse over): "Continue vastleggen van preview", which is not a very
good translation.
Why not add a "help"-button in the menu-bar, where (on mouse over)
the list of keyboard shortcuts will show up, complete with a good
explanation?
Would have saved this newbie several days of searching for a solution,
which obviously was at reach all the time. But hidden for my dumb eyes.
By the way: Entangle is a very nice software!
Jan
