That's very strange - can you post the log from 'entangle --debug-entangle --debug-gphoto'. I'll give them while I still > have access to this camera. :-) My wife has a D5100 which I can test with and is close enough in function, but I don't see anything wrong. I don't recall any specific mode settings being required for the D5000 to make it work.
