Hello there, I used ubuntu 14.04 with entangle 0.5 last april, and it did a great job: I could deal with a big amount of photos while digitalizing huge amount of paper archives.
I tried it again last week and I encountered a problem. I could use the preview function before taking a picture without any problem, I could even see the captured pictured on screen which was saved in the session directory I defined in the parameters. But, for no reason (at lest I assume, I only changed one parameter in the software windows, the exposure mode) and then nothing worked anymore: I could not make a preview or a capture. The errror message sometimes was NULL, sometimes "shutter up?". Sometime one of the preview or capture was available but not both at the same time. Then I installed ubuntu 16.04 and the latest version of entangle 0.7.1, then updated my EOS 450D firmware from 1.0.4 to 1.1.0, and I am able to achieve preview or capture, but not at the same time. My main concern now is that the photos are captureed on the memory card but not on my computer. I can't see the captured photo on screen... and so I can't organize my photos whil I am capturing, which make me lose a lot of time. This software is great because you can deal with classification of large amount of photos but as I said, I am not able anymore to do it. I search a bit through the known bugs section but can't find something useful for my problem. has anyone a suggestion? Please, help Cheers, Raf
