Hugo, We implemented it a year or so ago for the exact same purpose. If I remember correctly the only configuration needed is to add ip directed-broadcast for each router interface that will be sending the broadcast packets. As additional security, we also created an ACL that only allowed IP broadcast to be sent from our ghost console machines so that no other machine could inadvertently flood the network.
