Subject: RE: Latest C2 fw 5.02.03.0010 release

Nick,

Version 5.02.03.0010 is available to customers, we are asking customers /
partners to contact GTAC for this image, so we can ensure they understand the
following warnings. Initially the first warning was not documented in the
published release notes, but we will be posting an updated version this
morning. We do expect to release another image soon that will not have this
particular limitation.

GTAC will provide this firmware release to customers directly until we have
posted a newer version that does not have the first limitation below.

Warning: If you are upgrading a stack or standalone switch that is PoE capable,
there is a risk that "ge.1.1" will not be available after upgrading to 5.02.03.
Make sure that you are not managing the stack / switch through "ge.1.1" since
you may lose contact with the switch remotely. To resolve the problem you must
reboot the switch or stack a second time after the upgrade.

Note: Firmware 5.02.03 and above includes a new PoE driver which will require
additional bootup time as the driver is being updated on PoE units within the
stack. Once the initial boot of the code has completed and the PoE driver is
updated, the delay should not be seen again.

Anyone know why this has been pulled from the support site?
I've got it installed on a few switches / stacks and we were about to install
it on a C2 with routing license installed for OSPF.

(Like the new "show port cablestatus" feature by the way)

Nick.
