We don't have a requirement for this currently so it's just a general question, but I know Cisco do a virtual switch for use in VMWare virtual centre - the Nexus 1000v series.
Does Enterasys offer anything similar, or have plans to? As our instructor on the VMWare vSphere upgrade course I'm on pointed out, for organisations (unlike ours) where the network team is distinct from the server team, it can make sense to use these virtual switches so that the network guys can retain control over the whole network infrastructure - physical and virtual.
