Can you try to update the firmware on the JetDirect cards?

I have a few JetDirect cards to fool around with at home.  Could you share the 
model and firmware version?

PS - I've seen similar things happen before.  I had a misbehaving device
generating junk frames with multicast MAC addresses before.  I've also
seen older Windows machines pad out packets with the contents of their
memory instead of zeros.  Great catch Ernie!
