AFIAK A cold reboot requires that the input power to the device be remove and
reapplied.

A warm reboot is where the main CPU is told to reset and begin executing the
image as if it was just powered back on. Power is not cut on a warm boot.

Subject: [enterasys] Cold or Warm Reboot

Hi all,
I am using Inventory Manager to upgrade C3's from 06.03.x.x to 06.42.03.0004
code. Can a warm reboot be used? Also where can I find an explanation between
the two?

thnks in advance
walt
