Hi Walter,
               Log into the S4.
               Type config
               Type ip access-list extended 150
Type insert before 1 permit (whatever you want to add to the top
of the list here)
No need to restart. You may want to create a config restore-point so it is
persistent after a reboot.

Subject: [enterasys] ACL changes

Hi all,

Running 2 S4's as the core. Can I change (adding or deleting) command strings
in an extended ACL without restarting the S4's? Can anyone share a step by
step on how to accomplish this? I need to add a permit string at the top of
the list.

ip access-list extended 150
permit ip host 10.1.24.1 host 172.30.3.12
  permit ip host 10.1.1.1 172.30.1.0 0.0.0.255
  permit ip host 10.1.1.1 172.30.2.0 0.0.0.255
  permit ip host 10.1.1.1 172.30.3.0 0.0.0.255
  permit ip host 10.1.2.1 172.30.1.0 0.0.0.255
  permit ip host 10.1.2.1 172.30.2.0 0.0.0.255
  permit ip host 10.1.2.1 172.30.3.0 0.0.0.255
deny ip any 172.30.1.0 0.0.0.255 log
deny ip any 172.30.2.0 0.0.0.255 log
deny ip any 172.30.3.0 0.0.0.255 log
  permit ip any any
  exit

thanks in advance
