HI Brian, Thanks for the reply. From the config guide and info I have from GTAC, I now have a better idea on the hardware limitations on the C2, compared to later switches.
I'll see if the customer manages to address the issue themselves today, otherwise I'm looking forward to having a go myself! Kind regards, Simon Read Service Engineer Nashua Communications (Pty) Ltd. From: Read, Simon [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Tuesday, April 12, 2011 4:41 AM To: Enterasys Customer Mailing List Subject: [enterasys] User and IP Phone Authentication on the C-2 Hi All, I'm struggling at the moment with the Authentication only of a Siemens handset and daisy-changed PC to a C2 switch. The customer also has C3 switches, (not mixed stacks), with the same config that works perfectly well. Siemens handset authenticates via mac authentication by itself and if it's disconnected the User can authenticate using 802.1x authentication, but both won't authenticate when daisy chained together. Anybody successfully authenticating PC and daisy chained phone on the C2? Kind regards, Simon Read Service Engineer Nashua Communications (Pty) Ltd.
