Hi Scott,

I believe this is only possible on switches that support native IP Routing
(such as B-series or C-series). D2 is Layer 2 switching only and does not
support IP routing.

Cheers,
DJ

Subject: [enterasys] Two IP addresses for D2 switch

Hello all,
I'm REALLY new to the Enterasys product line and networking isn't really my
forte so I'm hoping you can answer a question I have. Can I set two different
IP's on a D2 switch? One would be the management IP and the other would be the
Layer 3 IP address for ports in a VLAN I'm setting up on it. The two IP's
would be in different subnets.

Mangement: 10.10.1.254/24<http://10.10.1.254/24>
L3: 10.10.254.254/24<http://10.10.254.254/24>

Is this even possible?
