We are getting ready to pilot some Polycom VOIP phones on campus. We would like to accomplish the following with this implementation:
1) Separate VLAN from standard users 2) Automatic policy / VLAN assignment via mac authentication 3) QOS which should come from #2 4) Limit protocols to VOIP only to limit abuse (student environment) We are currently running NMS 4.1.0.63 Console/Policy/NAC We are looking at implementation where phone will plug into wall jack, PC will plug into the phone Need to have auto assignment of VLAN's as phones will move All switches will be G3/C5 with latest firmware I did see an earlier message from a few years back that referenced information in demo.pmd, so looking into that. Looking for advise, recommendations, pit-falls, etc., to make this pilot run as smoothly as possible.
