Can you not telnet in and disable ssh and then reenable it. Putty is awful on some of our C series switches - aborts the session frequently on commands which have a lot of output - but MobaXterm works well - although with some old versions of firmware, connecting with MobaXterm (OpenSSH) can cause a switch reset.
