Mark,

In order to see the new Flexviews you copied over, you need to restart the
Netsight server. There is a script you can run to do this
(/usr/local/Enterasys_Networks/NetSight/scripts/)

After the restart, if you re-launch the Console client the Flexviews are
synced to C:\Users\’user’\AppData\NetSight\System\FlexViews\My Flexviews on
your PC.

If you navigate from Console you will notice that the folder structure is
C:\Users\’user’\Application Data\NetSight\System\FlexViews\My Flexviews,
‘Application Data’ is a symbolic link to make the system backwards
compatible with older O/S, but the real path is via ‘Appdata’.

To get this to sync correctly on my PC I also had to delete the folder
C:\Users\’user’\AppData\Roaming\NetSight\Console, not sure if it was a
legacy thing or a caching issue.

MIBs should be the same process.

*Subject:* [enterasys] Netsight Flexviews - Distribute to Clients

Hi folks,

Can anyone remind me where I put Flexviews on the NetSight server so they
are automatically distributed to clients?

I have a NetSight appliance (Linux based) and tried putting them here:

/usr/local/Enterasys_Networks/NetSight/appdata/System/FlexViews/MyFlexviews

However I can’t seem to find the new Flexviews anywhere on the clients,
even after restarting console.

Also I seem to remember there was somewhere you could copy MIB’s for
distribution also?

I’m running v4.3.0.106.

Many thanks,

Mark.
