The fan trip points are fixed based on the limits of the hardware.
The only way to prevent the fans going to higher speed, is to lower the
temperate of the environment they are in and insure that ventilation is
not blocked.

I know this is probably a shot in the dark - does anyone have a way of
lowering the fan noise on a C5?
It's thermal threshold is set up at 100% and it reports 40% and 55% for the
PS and System temps.
Is there any manual fan speed adjustments on these units?
