Hi,

I am investigating a poor performance issue on a customer site.

I’m seeing lots of these messages in the logging buffer of S8’s running 07.71.01.0010. They appear with different vlan id’s and IP addresses.  In fact the log is full of them!

<166>Feb 25 14:07:16 <S8 IP ADDRESS> RtrArpProc[5]Received ARP on vlan 1 but there is no path to the sender IP address: <HOST IPADDRESS>

I can’t find any reference to this error. Does anyone know what it means?

The site is very large and has many geo-vlans now but still has lots of secondary IP’s on vlan 1 (legacy site-wide vlan which is SLOWLY being migrated to geo-vlans).

Regards,

Andy
