I did indeed take a look at them, and they seem quite old, I just found them by
coincidence because I wanted to upgrade firmwares and looked at the files on the
switches.

Are they created when the switch crashes?

admin login can't delete them either BTW:
(su)->delete logs/snapDmp1Sep0611.z
Failed to remove logs/snapDmp1Sep0611.z
