Hello Walt,

For your reference I have included a video on how to setup Alarm Manager in
Netsight. You can change the status set by the alarm in the Other Options
tab when creating the alarm.

You will need to setup traps on the devices in question. You can then use
Alarm Manager to change the status of the icon.

The traps that you will be triggering off of are listed below.
ctEntStateOperEnabled
ctEntStateOperDisabled

The information contained in these SNMP Traps is:

unit index - Stacked unit index for example 1
unit status - Either (Available -- for join) or (Not Available -- for
leave)
unit description - e.g. "Enterasys Networks, Inc. SecureStack B2"

Devices and firmware that support this trap:

SecureStack C3, all firmware
SecureStack C2, firmware 3.02.30 and higher
SecureStack B3, all firmware
SecureStack B2, firmware 3.01.16 and higher
SecureStack A2, firmware 1.03.17 and higher

Enterasys Knowledge base article 10381 explains these traps in more detail.

The following Enterasys Knowledge base article can be used if you need to
setup traps/informs on the stacks:
