Christian,

Ekahau will provide, with WiFi design bsed on location, location within 5
metre's

You would then have to integrate with another system but this has to have a
client installed onto the device to transmit it's RF that it can see and the
Ekahau then calculates the postion based on how many base stations and what the
RF receive levels from each is.

Subject: [enterasys] Enterasys wifi for location based content delivery?

Hello,

is anyone using Enterasys wifi for location based content delivery?

i.e. Imagine a museum. Visitors take out their smartphone, connect to the
museum´s wifi, start their browser and will be automatically redirected to a
homepage with the description of what they currently see right in front of them.

Will this acutally work? What about precision for wifi based location?
Do you know some third party vendor which will work with Enterasys wifi.
(Yes, I know Enterasys uses location based information with NAC, but this is
another story.) Also, if you know some other solutions for that setup, it would
be great if you could give some hints/links.

Regards,
Christian
