Question #167406 on samba in Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/samba/+question/167406
Eliah Kagan proposed the following answer: Is the problem that the new files won't accept the changes, or that the new permissions are set but seem not to take effect? If the latter, then you'll have to change your Windows file sharing settings, as actionparsnip suggested in the last paragraph of his post. However, if the way you share your files is in Sharing Options in the Nautilus file browser, then rather than manually editing smb.conf, you can simply set it to be modifiable by other users in Sharing Options for the shared folder. -- You received this question notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server/Client Support Team, which is an answer contact for samba in Ubuntu. -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~enterprise-support Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~enterprise-support More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
