Simon Michelini gave more information on the question: I'm sorry for losing morale.. it's just that I feel so helpless, and I was getting depressed. I really want to be able to share folders across my network!! I restored the dpkg.backup to the dpkg, and now my computers are able to at least list the various machines on the network, although unable to open any folders. Do you have any other ideas of how I might go about this?
